In the Old Testament God came to Moses in a burning bush, revealing His name to Moses: "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you'" (Exodus 3:14). Both Jewish and Christian people know "I AM" is unquestionably understood as a name for God.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus makes 7 "I AM" statements in reference to Himself. These declarations echo God's own self-revelation in the Old Testament, where "I AM (YHWH) was God's name, meaning "I exist" or "I be".
Join us as we discover how these I AM statements reveal aspects of the identity of Jesus. These truths can deepen our relationship with Jesus and transform our daily lives. Invite a friend to join us!
