As we come to the end of our time studying the book of Daniel, what have we learned about Daniel? What have we learned about ourselves? What have we learned about God?

Some of the things we've learned:

* God is sovereign over history; past, present and future.

* Even in a world filled with unbelievers, you can stand strong in your faith.

* God hears and responds to our prayers.

* God is speaking to us in many ways. Are we listening?

* Daniel's faithful service to the Lord in a land and culture not his own makes him unique among almost all the people of Scripture.

* God is greater than any human endeavors or rulers.

* In the face of the fire, God walks with us.

* Pride will get us every time.

* God says, "Wake up to the foolishness of sin!"

* Christian character is revealed in the moment of adversity!

* In all places and all times, God is with His people.

I encourage you to read Daniel chapters 10-12 before diving into the questions.

Plan to join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 am or visit our website redoakpresbyterianchurch.com for recordings of the service.

Questions to Ponder:

1. How often do you think about the realities of spiritual warfare? What causes you to recognize these realities?

2. What does Daniel show us about the proper response to divine revelation? How do you respond when you read a difficult message in Scripture?

3. Have you ever been overcome by the weightiness of a message from God? If so, how has God also encouraged you in those times?

4. Daniel is encouraged because he is treasured by God. Reflect on God's love for you as shown in Christ (Romans 5:8). How can this encourage you as you encounter spiritual opposition?

5. Read Daniel 11 in the context of Daniel 10 and 12. How does it fit into the vision as a whole?

6. Why does God raise up evil kingdoms? How does this help us get a Biblical perspective when it happens in our own day?

7. From Daniel chapter 12: How does God protect His people? How have you experienced the protection of God?

8. According to Daniel 12:3, what is the proper task of God's people living before "the end of the days"?

9. The book of Daniel ends with a call for endurance to the end. What other passages of Scripture call believers to persevere?

10. What did God teach you through our study of the book of Daniel?

Blog comments will be sent to the moderator
