Call to Worship
We gather together in praise and worship of our Faithful God, because our help and hope rests always in the Lord our God.
We bring our praises and thankful responses to our Saving God.
Blessed be the Lord our God, who is our security and home, and whose mercy and grace frees us from all that traps us.
Blessings, reverent honor and glory be to the Lord our God.
We come together to praise worship our all-Powerful God, because we are confident of God's generous care over us.
Our eternal trust is in the name of the Lord our God, who is our Maker, our Savior, and our timeless Home.
Holy One of mystery and power, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth below, keeping covenant and steadfast love with all who walk before You with pure and upright hearts. Fill our lives with Your glory, as You filled the temple with cloud when Solomon first brought the ark into Your holy dwelling place. Give us the strength and the power to withstand the forces of evil at work in our lives and in our world. Amen.
Hymn "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" #139
Prayer of Confession
Heavenly Father, we come to You with heads bowed and knees bent. We ask for Your forgiveness for all the said and unsaid sins in our hearts. We hide in shame. The guilt we feel is a weight we cannot bear. We carry it, add on to it and fall down, spent. Lord, please forgive us as we personally confess these to You. Thank You God, for creating in us pure hearts and renewed, steadfast spirits. In the Name of Your righteous Son, Jesus Christ, we ask for these things. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
The good news in Christ is that when we face ourselves and God with the awareness of our need, we are given grace to grow, and courage to continue the journey. Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.
In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
